A right-wing radio host complained to former President Donald Trump about the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection committee and speculated to Trump that Democrats want to see him in prison.

On his radio show ‘The Wayne Allyn Root Show,’ Wayne Allyn Root made the remark to Trump in an interview with the ex-president. His complaints about the Jan. 6 committee centered around the recent arrest and indictment of Peter Navarro, who was Trump’s ex-trade adviser, for contempt of Congress.

Root said, “when they arrest a Peter Navarro, who’s next?”

He followed that question up with another question.

“Are they gonna try and take you out of Mar-a-Lago in shackles?” Root asked, adding that it was “insanity.”

Trump said previously that Hillary Clinton should be removed in shackles in 2016 as he hammered her over the use of a private email server while she was at the State Department. He falsely during this time accused her of a litany of crimes.

Trump has continued to publicly fume at the Jan 6 committee over the past several days. The panel’s investigations are continuing to turn up even more testimony from Trump’s inner circle, and the people who were around him during his presidential election loss, up through the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Trump’s circle has told the Jan. 6 committee how Trump pursued conspiracies about the 2020 election against their adamant advice and clear warnings.

Trump has raged at the House committee, claiming it is an unfair smear campaign that targets his political interests. But even his own family members have appeared on camera in the committee’s testimony to refute his claims of election fraud.

Speculation is growing over the past few days about whether Trump himself will face criminal charges over the Jan. 6 violent insurrection. Republican Rep Adam Kinzinger said that he believed there was enough evidence already uncovered by the panel to charge Trump with seditious conspiracy against the U.S.

The Department of Justice will be the one to decide whether Trump will face criminal charges.
