White House Press Secretary Dismisses Reports of Concerns Over Biden’s Reelection

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed reports that there are concerns over whether President Joe Biden should seek reelection. Jean-Pierre waved off questions over Biden’s age or stamina, in particular, saying that it was not a question that should even be asked.

“I can’t even keep up with him,” she said and told the reporters to look at the work that Biden does and how he is delivering for the American public.

Jean-Pierre dismissed an article in the New York Times quoting former Obama chief strategist David Axelrod saying Biden’s age was a “major issue” for a reelection bid. Jean-Pierre said the report was “heresy” and “fallacious.”

She said that rather than caring about Biden’s age, the White House cares about how the administration is going to deliver for the American people, and how to make their lives better.

Jean-Pierre reiterated that Biden intends to run for reelection in 2024, saying that Biden intends to run again for his second term.

Over the past week, speculation over whether Biden will actually run again has heated up. But according to his press secretary, Biden is indeed still looking ahead to 2024.

It means there may be a rematch between former president Donald Trump and Biden.

At three years younger than Biden, Trump tried to blast Biden for his age during the 2020 election. If Trump were to run again in 2024, he would now be older than Biden was when he ran.

Some political experts have pointed out that while the Democrats may or may not allegedly be worried about Biden’s age, Trump’s age comes up very rarely.

Whether Trump would end up being the Republican nominee remains to be seen. Reports say that Trump’s influence is faltering with parts of the GOP, as well as GOP donors, who want a different nominee for 2024 considering Trump already lost once before to Biden.

New reports say that Trump does want to seek another election though and apparently wants to announce his 2024 bid outside of Ron DeSantis’ house.
