Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp crushed his opponent in the high-profile primary fight for the Republican nomination, former Senator David Perdue. Perdue was former President Donald Trump’s pick for the position.
Trump rallied behind Perdue very publicly. This week, Trump suggested there was something “fishy” about the race. Trump sent out a press release via his Save America PAC with the headline “ICYMI: ‘Something Stinks in Georgia,” peddling a conspiracy theory about the state primary elections.
The press release referred to a Substack post by Emerald Robinson, who is a former White House correspondent for Newsmax, who now works for Lindell TV — which was founded by Trump’s buddy and election conspiracist, Mike Lindell. Making Robinson intrinsically connected to Trump.
Robinson’s argument is all over the place, analysts say, but essentially boils down to saying that Trump’s endorsement is so strong that something must have been wrong in Georgia, where his chosen candidates lost.
The article claims Trump’s endorsement is “the single most powerful force in the universe of American politics.” This is factually incorrect, considering Trump’s endorsed candidates did not all win in the primaries this year. In fact, many of the high-profile ones lost.
Robinson said that the races in Georgia were rigged.
Kemp won by 600,000 votes. Robinson does not give any explanation for how the election was rigged, or what could have made up 600,000 fraudulent ballots, which would be by any standards a massive election fraud, and incredibly difficult to cover up.
Robinson was taken off the air at Newsmax because she tweeted conspiracy theories about the Covid vaccines. In a tweet, she wrote: “Dear Christians: the vaccines contain a bioluminescent marker called LUCIFERASE so that you can be tracked. Read the last book of the New Testament to see how this ends.”
After that, came to work within the Trump universe at Lindell TV.
