In the aftermath of weekend abortion rights demonstrations, White House press secretary Jen Psaki stressed on Monday that demonstrations should not be violent and that President Biden supports judges, The Hill reports.

Hundreds of demonstrators yelled outside Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s and Chief Justice John Robert’s residences in the Washington, D.C., region over the weekend, and demonstrations are anticipated to continue throughout the week.

Demonstrations are also expected in front of Justice Samuel Alito’s Washington home, according to WUSA9.

Some of Kavanaugh’s and Roberts’ neighbors complained to the protest organizers that they were being impolite and noisy, according to the TV station.

Over the weekend, pro-abortion activists gathered in Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, New York, and other cities.

The White House also denounced an arson assault on an anti-abortion group’s office in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sunday, which authorities are investigating.

Republicans have criticized the abortion rights demonstrations and warned of violence.

Pro-abortion rights rallies outside Kavanaugh and Roberts’ houses were dubbed “mob violence” by Texas Senator Ted Cruz on Sunday.

The demonstrations follow the publication last week of a leaked draft majority opinion by Politico, which indicated that the Supreme Court is ready to overturn Roe v. Wade and leave abortion legislation to the states.

The draft ruling was written by Alito, and Kavanaugh is one of the five majority justices, with Roberts in the minority.

Following the disclosure, the Supreme Court verified that the document was “genuine,” but stressed that the final judgment had not yet been reached.
