Mike Pence Visits Ukraine Border with Poland

Former Vice President Mike Pence visited the Polish-Ukrainian border on Thursday in order to meet with Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russia’s military offensive on their country, Fox News informed.

Pence harshly condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin’s horrific aggression. On the exact same day while Pence was visiting Poland, current Vice President Kamala Harris, was also in this Eastern European country demonstrating US support for NATO members.

Karen Pence, Pence’s former second lady, accompanied him on the visit. Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian humanitarian organization, brought the two to the area. The former Vice President and his wife were joined by Edward Graham, the organization’s vice president of operations and the son of the organization’s president, the evangelical pastor that is nationally recognized, Franklin Graham.

They were there, the former vice president claimed that they visited this region in order to meet with women and children that are fleeing the turmoil in Ukraine. Around 2.4 million people have already fled Ukraine, with nearly 400,000 passing through the border crossing in Korczowa.”

Pence, who is considering a candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, is on a trip abroad that included a stop in Israel on Wednesday.

Last week, the former vice president made news when he told a Republican National Committee gathering of senior donors about the Russia-Ukraine conflict that apologists for Putin have no place in the GOP and that only freedom fighters have a place in the party.”

The comments were greeted with cheers from the audience at Pence’s presentation in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Friday night, according to a Republican source present there. The event was closed to the press.

Pence did not refer to former President Donald Trump by name in his statements, but his criticism of those in the Republican Party who have not completely denounced Putin followed the comments made last month by Trump describing Putin as “genius” and “savvy” in conducting the offensive.

Trump reaffirmed his position toward Putin in a speech two weeks ago at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, telling the audience that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “smart.”
