Kathy Hochul, the Governor of New York, has started an agency heads purge, as well as the purge on other officials that were appointed by Andrew Cuomo, the former Governor, Fox News informed.
According to a source’s statement reported by The Post, at least 9 officials have submitted their resignations or were told that they will be fired in the next few days.
The first on the list is Michael Hein, a former Ulster County Executive who was appointed by the former governor in 2019 to head the state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
Hein was tapped as head of the Hudson Valley’s regional control room, and he was in charge of monitoring the key health metrics, as the state reopened in the summer of 2020.
