The White House is ready to start with face coverings once again if the new guidelines that are set to be announced by the CDC on Tuesday require it, Fox News informed.

Jen Psaki, the press secretary of the White House spoke to reporters and said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will disclose the updated face coverings guidelines on Tuesday afternoon in the wake of the Covid-19 threat as the new, delta variant took the lead as the dominant variant.

The new guidelines are set to recommend that some people who are fully vaccinated will have to wear face coverings in some exceptional circumstances.

Psaki said that the US is dealing with a different strain of the Covid-19 than the one in the spring, when the guidance was initially issued.
