Tim Young, a political comedian urged lawmakers to support his plan to help US citizens get valid identification cards, Fox News informed.
The new arrives as partisan fighting over the election legislation increased in Texas and other GOP-controlled states.
Young, revealed his plan to start “IDs Across America”, which is envisioned as a volunteer organization aimed at helping new voters the process of application.
The comedian said that he wanted to take action because politicians failed to address this problem, which emerged as a very serious issue in the debates over the election laws.
