Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday said that the progressive wing in the party will tank the bipartisan infrastructure legislation if Democrats do not approve a spending package that contains provisions for jobs, climate change, and some other liberal priorities, Fox News informed.
During a virtual town hall, the New York Democrat said that they will obstruct the infrastructure legislation until the reconciliation bill is approved.
On Tuesday, Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader said that the Budge Committee came to an agreement to allocate $3.5 trillion for spending package that would wrap up the infrastructure plan of President Joe Biden.
