Governor of South Dakota Kristi Noem slammed Biden administration in an address from Mount Rushmore on Sunday, after she was rejected by federal officials, to host a Fireworks show for Fourth of July, Fox News informed.
In a video published on Twitter she said that she really wished for fireworks but that it would probably not going to happen due to the Biden administration.
Fireworks were reinstated at Mount Rushmore under Trump’s rule, but the NPS (National Park Service) rejected Noem’s request to host the fireworks show.
The NPS said that her bid was dismissed due to reason linked to Covid-19, wildfire risks, environment concerns, and some current construction works at the monument.
