US Vice President Kamala Harris has traveled to Texas Friday for a border visit, and snapped after she was asked why it had taken so long to visit it after she was tapped to head the efforts to address the roots of the migrant crisis, Fox News informed.
Harris, appointed by US President Joe Biden in March, is currently in El Paso on a visit to the processing center as well as the Border Patrol facility, from where she will be briefed for the ongoing actions.
The trip comes after the VP was blasted by Republican and Democrats for not visiting the southern border, but taking her time to visit Mexico and Guatemala.
On the question by Peter Doocy from Fox News, she answered that this was not her first trip to the border, and that she had visited it many times before, apparently thinking of her visits as a senator.
