Biden Orders Federal Assistance after Florida Building Collapses

US President Joe Biden on Friday gave an order for federal assistance to help the massive response in South Florida after a building has partially collapsed, killing one person and trapping many others, Fox News informed.

The White House stated that the action of the President gives authorization to the Homeland Security Department and the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) to coordinate each and every effort for disaster relief.

Around 100 people are still missing, according to authorities, amid an ongoing search and rescue efforts.

FEMA said that the help is aimed at alleviating the strain on the local and state emergency crews that are currently involved in the search and rescue for those who remain trapped.

The rescue teams successfully pulled out dozens of survivors from the ruins, and are still desperately searching for the other people.
