United States Supreme Court ruled on Thursday with 7-2 against the Texas and other GOP-led states that were trying to take down Obamacare, which was the legislation’s newest test before the highest court of the US, CNBC informed.
The Supreme court reversed a ruling by the Court of Appeals which had annulled the individual mandate provision of the law. John Roberts, the Chief Justice and other conservative Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and Amy Coney Barrett joined the opinion of Justice Stephen Breyer, but so did Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.
Justice Breyer stated that Texas and the other Republican-led states that challenged this law did not manage to prove that they were damaged by the legislation.
