More than $2B Rerouted in Border Wall Funds to Military, Environmental Projects

Close to $2.2 billion of funding allocated by former President Donald Trump for construction of US-Mexico border wall on will be pulled and spent on other projects by the Biden administration regardless of the continually increasing influx of illegal immigrants there, New York Post reports.

Redirection of the construction cash was announced by the Department of Homeland Security on Friday, calling it an example of the prior Administration’s misplaced priorities.

According to the plans, appropriated funds will be used by the Pentagon for building projects on US military bases and for mitigating some environmental damage caused by border wall construction.
