Addressing the evolving landscape of foreign threats to the United States, President Joe Biden pointed Friday speaking to American service members at a Virginia military base that China believes it will own America within the next 15 years, Fox News reports.
Biden told troops at Joint Base Langley Eustis in Hampton that they’re in a battle between democracies and autocracies and pointed that coming together and reaching consensus gets more difficult as the world becomes complicated.
According to Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping firmly believes that China, before the year 2035, is going to own the US because autocracies can make quick decisions, without elaborating on what he meant by “own America”.
Earlier this week, Biden gave the intelligence community 90 to find evidence on coronavirus origins and if it emerged from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the central Chinese city and the Congress has an ongoing debate on legislation to increase U.S. competitiveness in the science and tech to compete with China.
