Israel to Continue Operations in Gaza, despite Biden’s Call for De-escalation

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel on Wednesday said that he spoke to President Biden on the phone and although Biden called for a significant deescalation, he is determined to proceed with the military actions towards Hamas, Fox News informed.

Netanyahu and Biden had a thorough discussion about the current situation in Gaza Strip, Hamas capabilities and other elements of terrorism, and the diplomatic relations between the US and regional governments.

The White House said that Biden urged that Israeli Prime Minister that an immediate deescalation is highly needed and that it should be the base for future cease-fire.

However, Netanyahu stated that he is really grateful for the US President support, but added that Israel will continue the operation until that goal is reached and that is to return the security to the region and the Israel citizens.
