Coronavirus: 53%/25% (D+28)
Protecting Social Security/Medicare: 52%/29% (D+23)

RON’S COMMENT: Since Biden has taken office, Democrats in Congress have picked up big leads on most issues. Previously, Republicans usually led on national security and the economy, and often tied on immigration. Democrats now lead them all…. Note that Democrats have a whopping 28-point advantage on handling the coronavirus––which is much wider than the lead they had before the election.

GEORGIA POLITICS
Among voters statewide

Personal and job ratings:

Pres. Joe Biden (D)
Favorable: 52%
Unfavorable: 41%

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D):
Favorable: 54%

RON’S COMMENT: Majorities of voters in Georgia rate Biden and Warnock favorably and nearly half rate Ossoff favorably. Kemp, who is up for re-election next year, is net negative…. Republican Kemp, who has been harshly criticized by Donald Trump, has a job approval rating of 61% among Republicans, 28% among Democrats and 54% among independents…. From a report on the poll:

  • “… 58% of Georgians say the Republican members of Congress who tried to stop the formal certification of Biden’s victory were ‘undermining’ democracy, compared with one-third who see them as ‘protecting’ the electoral system.”
