RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on five polls, ranging from 41% (Reuters, Politico) to 48% (Emerson). Without these extremes, it would still be 44%…. It should be mentioned that President Trump’s job approval in the Rasmussen poll has dropped over the last week from 50% to 44%…. Trump’s disapproval rating averages 53% today (same as Friday), which is 9 points higher than his approval rating.

RON’S COMMENT: 39% of all voters, 5% of Democrats, 31% of independents and 79% of Republicans support Trump’s policies most or all of the time. 50% of all voters, 84% of Democrats, 37% of independents and 9% of Republicans oppose Trump’s policies most or all of the time.…Note that 12% of voters are either 50/50 or they’re not sure.

RON’S COMMENT: Everyone rated here is net negative. While the Trump advisers do much better among Republicans than Democrats, Democrat Schiff does much better with Democrats––he’s 56% favorable/16% unfavorable among Democrats and 11% favorable/64% unfavorable among Republicans. Schiff is net negative among independents by 16 points.

RON’S COMMENT: Remember, these ratings are among the entire electorate and not just party primary voters…. Buttigieg is the only Democrat getting a net positive rating, and that’s by only 2 points. Bloomberg has the worst positive-to-negative ratio.

RON’S COMMENT: Warren has the highest positive rating among Democrats with Biden second. Bloomberg has the highest negative rating with Sanders second.

RON’S COMMENT: There are large differences across partisanship and age: 60% of Democrats say the government should be spending more on these types of programs, compared to 27% of Republicans and 39% of independents. Younger adults are more supportive of social program spending than older adults: 55% of 18 to 34 year-olds, 40% of 35 to 49 year-olds, 41% of 50 to 64 year-olds, and 36% of 65 year-olds support more spending.
