RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on four polls, ranging from 41% (Quinnipiac) to 49% (Rasmussen). Without these extremes, it would still be 44%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 52% today (same as yesterday), which is 8 points higher than his approval rating.

RON’S COMMENT: Good news for Biden––a national poll that does not show him dropping. Other than Warren going up a point, there was not much change in this poll from last week …. Important to note: Biden’s involvement in the Ukraine news, and his running battle with Trump over the matter, has not negatively impacted his national primary vote share or his overall favorability among Democrats. Biden’s current rating is 73% favorable/19% unfavorable, that compares to 72% favorable/20% unfavorable two weeks ago…. In the subsample of early primary states (IA, NH, SC and NV), Biden leads with 31%, then Warren 20% and Sanders 18%.

RON’S COMMENT: Two polls show similar results, with support for impeachment and removal sitting under 50%. In Quinnipiac’s poll, support for impeachment has grown 10 points since last week. Democratic support has consolidated, with independents leaning slightly against––90% of Democrats, 42% of independents, and 7% of Republicans support impeachment. The CNN poll also shows 47% supporting impeachment and removal, with 74% of Democrats, 14% of Republicans, and 46% of independents supporting it. Support for impeachment has grown 6 points since CNN last asked the question in May…. The Quinnipiac poll is the most recently conducted of these three surveys.
