RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on five polls, ranging from 42% (PPP-D) to 48% (Rasmussen). Without these two extremes, it would be 44%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 52% today (+1 from yesterday), which is 7 points higher than his approval rating.

CITIZENSHIP QUESTION

Do you think the federal government should or should not ask people whether they are American citizens as part of the 2020 census?

RON’S COMMENT: Most voters favor asking the citizenship question….24% of Democrats, 52% of independents, 87% of Republicans, 57% of whites, 33% of blacks and 43% of Hispanics say the census should ask the citizenship question…. 64% of Democrats, 26% of independents, 7% of Republicans, 32% of whites, 46% of blacks and 34% of Hispanics say the census.should NOT ask the citizenship question…. Note that more Hispanics say the question should be asked (46%) than those who say it shouldn’t be asked (34%).

BUSING
