Twitter Explodes with Memes after Trump’s Claim that in Revolutionary War Airports Were Captured

President Donald Trump made a speech on the 4th of July as he said that the revolutionary army of the US back in 1775 took over airports from the British empire, more than one century before the first airplane was invented and inspired the Twitter community to make mocking memes of his claim.

“Our army manned the air, it rammed the rampart, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do, and at Fort McHenry, under the rockets’ red glare, it had nothing but victory,’’ said Trump during his tribute to the army.

Twitter user Shawna had some mocking material on the subject:

US history professor from Willamette University Seth Cotlar used old English language to satirically re-tell Trump’s claim.

Twitter user LionO*s_Jungle asked a question if the first U.S. president George Washington could board an aircraft with his horse as an emotional support animal.

Twitter user Damian Ayers wrote on his account: “When you find out your flight has been cancelled due to bad weather and you and the Continental Army have to spend time in Valley Forge.’’

Various other Twitter users also made satirical comments of Trumps claim.
