RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on seven polls, ranging from 39% (Reuters) to 49% (Rasmussen). Without these two extremes, it would still be 45%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 53% today (same as yesterday), which is 8 points higher than his approval rating.

Among Democrats polled, Biden is winning 43% of whites, 55% of blacks and 44% of Hispanics…. Sanders gets 12% of whites, 9% of blacks and 20% of Hispanics…. U.S. HOUSE: NORTH CAROLINA 9
Among GOP voters districtwide

REPUBLICAN PRIMARY
Dan Bishop: 31%
Stony Rushing: 17%
Matthew Ridenhour: 9%
Leigh Brown: 6%
Kathie Day: 5%
Fern Shubert: 4%
Chris Anglin: 3%
Stevie Rivenbark: 2%
Gary Dunn: 1%
Undecided: 21%

RON’S COMMENT: This special election was called to fill the vacancy created when the Board of Elections refused to certify a winner in the November 2018 election because of vote fraud allegations. In that election, Mark Harris (R) led Dan McCready (D) by a small margin in unofficial results. Democrat McCready, a businessman and former Marine, is running again. Pastor Harris, who defeated then-incumbent Robert Pittenger (R) in the 2018 GOP primary, is not running in the special election…. In the Republican primary to pick a nominee to take on McCready, State Sen. Bishop places first, based on this poll. Rushing, a county commissioner, is second. Despite the money realtors are pumping into fellow-realtor Brown’s campaign––$200,000 from individuals and $1.3 million from their PAC––she’s running fourth at this point.

VACCINATIONS
Among adults nationwide

Do you think parents should be required to vaccinate their children for diseases like measles, mumps, and rubella, or do you think parents should be able to decide whether or not to vaccinate their children?

Parents should be required: 72%
Parents should be able to decide: 25%

RON’S COMMENT: The percentage who believe vaccinations should be required increased 6 points––from 66%––since 2015.
