TRUMP JOB APPROVAL: AVERAGE 43%

RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on five polls, ranging from 41% (Politico, Reuters) to 47% (Rasmussen). Without these two extremes, it would be 44%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 53% today (-1 from yesterday), which is 10 points higher than his approval rating…. Good news for Trump: His disapproval rating in the CNN poll is now 51%, which is down from 57% in January. In fact, his 51% negative job rating is the lowest it’s ever been in a CNN poll.

RON’S COMMENT: Biden widened his lead this week, up 4 points. Harris is down 2, O’Rourke is up 1 and Klobuchar is down 1. Together, Biden and Sanders are polling 62% vs. the rest of the field at 36%…. In the poll’s subsample of early primary states (IA, NH, SC, NV), Biden does even better––he has 39% to Sanders at 28% and Harris at 7%.

RON’S COMMENT: 71% is the highest percentage saying the economy is good than any CNN poll has had since early 2001––which is good political news for President Trump…. When Trump took office, 57% said the economy was good. When Obama took office, 13% said the economy was good…. Compared to three years ago, 42% of Americans say the economy is now better off, 15% say it’s worse off and 41% say it’s about same.
