RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on five polls, ranging from 38% (Quinnipiac) to 48% (Rasmussen). Without these two extremes, it would be 44%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 53% today (same as yesterday), which is 10 points higher than his approval rating.

RON’S COMMENT: Florida is the nation’s largest swing state. Trump beat Hillary Clinton here by about a point in 2016, receiving 49% of the vote. In the last six presidential elections, Florida has voted Republican three times and Democratic three times, mostly by tight margins.

RON’S COMMENT: Yesterday, we reported another poll that referred to starting the process of impeachment. This poll today asks the question point blank: Should Trump “be impeached and compelled to leave the Presidency.” A majority of voters say no, he should not be. By party: 8% of Republicans, 40% of independents and 75% of Democrats say Trump should be impeached and compelled to leave office…. With numbers like these, Democrats would be taking a major political risk by starting the impeachment process at this point.

RUSSIA INVESTIGATION

A special counsel is currently conducting an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible links with the Trump campaign. Should the Russia investigation continue or should it end? 

Continue investigation: 53%

RON’S COMMENT: 18% of Republicans, 51% of independents and 85% of Democrats say the Mueller investigation should continue.

Do you think Donald Trump did or did not personally ask anyone to mislead government investigators or Congress on his business dealings or Russian interference in the election?

RON’S COMMENT: 14% of Republicans, 49% of independents and 77% of Democrats say Trump did personally ask somebody to mislead government investigators or Congress.

RON’S COMMENT: Most voters think the House committee was more interested in playing pro- or anti-Trump politics than getting at the truth, although a bit more say the Democrats were getting at the truth.
