Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, who was one of President Donald Trump’s most vocal supporter, blasted his State of the Union speech on Tuesday as “the lamest, sappiest, most intentionally tear-jerking SOTU ever,” Fox News informed.
Coulter constantly tweeted her thoughts during Trump’s 90-minute speech, where he called for unity in Washington amid the blockage over security funding that threatens to trigger yet another government shutdown.
Coulter blasted Trump for barely touching on the wall during his speech.
She then slammed Trump’s promise that “America will never be a socialist country,” rebutting: “WRONG! If you don’t build a wall & deport illegals, we’ll be a socialist country in about 5 years. Nice words though.”
Coulter also admitted that she did not watch the whole speech as she was tired.
As one of his biggest supporters, Coulter wrote the book “In Trump We Trust” and she backed Trump’s idea for the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border but her support quickly decreased after the President conceded to Democrats who refused to fund the Mexico border wall in order to reopen the government.
