Donald Trump on Thursday stated that he is “an outstanding person” who needs to be elected as a Supreme Court judge, adding: “I don’t think you can delay it any longer,” Fox News informed.
The comments came during Trump’s interview wtih Fox News’ Sean Hannity right before the “Make America Great Again” rally in Las Vegas, where Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., is set for re-election.
Christine Blasey Ford alleged that Kavanaugh forced himself onto her and covered her mouth, when he was 17 and she was 15.
Before the rally, Trump stated that Ford needs to have a chance to “have her say” of this whole situation.
“But I don’t think you can delay it any longer. They’ve delayed it a week already,” Trump continued.
“I say, let her say what she has to say. And let’s see how it all comes out. But they’ve delayed it a week. And they have to get on with it,” Trump said.
In the interview, Trump also spoke about the Russia probe led by the Special Counsel Robert Miller, calling it a “witch hunt.”
“Well it has to come to an end. It’s so bad for our country. I call it the witch hunt. It is so bad for our country,” Trump said.
Heller, who is facing Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen, is seen threatened ahead of November midterms in a state that Hillary Clinton claimed in 2016.
In the 2016 elections Trump scored 46 percent, while Clinton got 48 percent.
However, Heller maintained a confident attitude while speaking to reporters in Reno last week saying, “Oh yeah, oh yeah. I’ll win.”
The GOP candidate has aligned himself with Trump on issues such as tax reform and stronger border security, despite having once said that he “vehemently” opposed the President and gave back a campaign donation.
