Oprah Dismissed All Speculations of Her Running Against Trump in 2020

Oprah Winfrey officially dismissed the speculation she is considering to run against President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2020 elections.

In an interview published Thursday, Winfrey said that she does not have the DNA required to lunch a big campaign for the White House.

“I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it,” Winfrey said to Laura Brown, InStyle Magazine’s editor-in-chief.

The whole noise about Oprah Winfrey running for President against Trump in 2020 started after she delivered an inspirational speech at the Golden Globe Awards. The speech centered around the #MeToo movement,  and raised the issue of the many sexual misconducts acts done by a powerful man in the entertainment and the political world.

“For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men,” Winfrey addressed the audience while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the ceremony in Los Angeles. Adding at the end of the speech, “But their time is up. Their time is up!”

Before Winfrey dismissing the speculations, President Trump started telling reporters he did not think she would run, but if she did he believed he would beat her.

“Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah. Oprah will be lots of fun,” Trump said adding, “I don’t think she’s going to run.”

Meanwhile, according to a poll, Oprah Winfrey will be able to beat President Donald Trump in 2020 elections. Although she will win over Trump the majority of the voters expressed that they don’t actually want her to be running for office. 40 percent of the Democrats polled expressed they will be against Winfrey to be the 2020 candidate, on the other hand, 77 percent of Republicans opposed any potential campaign.
