Van Jones: Does Oprah Want to Be Demoted from Queen of Universe to POTUS

Van Jones, the CNN political commentator, said on Monday that if Oprah Winfrey became a presidential candidate in the 2020 elections she would “destroy anybody in front of her.”

This was said during Jones’s appearance on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” where Jones discussed the media giant’s chances for success if she were to pursue a run for the White House. He called Oprah “the most beloved human being on Earth.”

“The question is, that’s the only question. If she wants to do it, she can do it. If she runs, she will destroy anybody in front of her,” Jones said during the interview.

On Monday CNN reported that Oprah Winfrey is “actively considering” a run for the White House in 2020.

Oprah is a known longtime Democratic supporter, she previously backed the candidacies of the former President Barack Obama in 2008 and Hillary Clinton in 2016 as reported by The Hill.

On the speculation that Winfrey will be mounting a bid for the presidency the White House responded on Monday that President Donald Trump and his team would “welcome the challenge,” whether it be Oprah Winfrey or anybody else.

All this noise about Winfrey running for president started when Winfrey gave a inspiring speech on Sunday night at the Golden Globes where she focused on the many recent sexual harassment allegations against men that are considered as the one of the most powerful in the segments of entertainment, business, media, politics and beyond.

The thing that people believe is a way of Winfrey telling us that she will be running for president in 2020 is the moment when she addressed everyone in the hall that  “a new day is on the horizon,”
