Joe Biden: I Don’t Believe Vladimir Putin, They Did Meddle

Former Vice President Joe Biden, unlike President Donald Trump, does not believe the Russians did not meddle in the U.S. presidential election. Biden has contradicted Trump, who said that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin’s claim that the Russians haven’t done anything.

“I’m reluctant to criticize the president when he’s abroad, but I don’t believe Putin. And there’s no good reason to believe Putin in my view. I don’t think any objective person should believe Putin on this score,” Biden said.

He appeared on NBC’s Today show and told a story about how six years ago he told Putin that he has no soul.

“When I said that to Putin, his response was to me that ‘we understand one another.’ I wanted to make it clear to him that I understood where he was coming from, as long as he knew where I was coming from,” Biden said.

The former vice president is certain that Moscow did meddle in the election.

“I don’t believe Putin at all. They did meddle. He was responsible for it,” Biden emphasized.

Trump called the ongoing Russia investigations a political “witch hunt” created by the Democrats. Biden also talked about the rumors that he will run for president in 2020. He said that he is not ruling out the possibility, but emphasized that he couldn’t accept the nomination if it was given to him now.

“I honest to God, haven’t made up my mind about that. I’m not closing the door on it. I’ve been around too long, and I’m a great respecter of fate, but who knows what the situation is going to be a year-and-a-half from now,” he said.
