At least 6 Other Mass Shootings Recorded in U.S. Last Week

The attack in Las Vegas where 58 people lost their lives is the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history, but this shooting is not the only mass shooting that happened in the U.S. this week, there were six other, one in Kansas, two in Tennessee, one in Louisiana one in Maryland, and one in Pennsylvania.

There is no other developed country that has a similar rate of gun violence. The citizens of the U.S. own approximately 265 million guns, and that means one adult owns more than one gun.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there is a mass shooting in the U.S. every nine out of 10 days. Mass shooting here is defined as four or more people shot in one incident, not including the shooter.

The numbers are shocking. The archive reveals that in 1,735 days there are 1,516 mass shootings in America.
