White House officials have reportedly expressed concern that some colleagues may be wired for special counsel Robert Mueller, The Hill reports.
The probe has caused escalating tensions between White House Counsel Don McGahn and Ty Cobb, a lawyer who joined the administration to handle the Mueller probe, The New York Times reported Sunday.
Cobb has called on the administration to deliver as many documents as it can for the special counsel’s probe, while McGahn is concerned about precedents that could weaken the White House for a future administration, the report read.
Mueller and his team are investigating Russia’s alleged interference in the United States presidential election and any potential ties between President Donald Trump’s campaign staff and the Kremlin.
