White House: Trump Nominates Sessions’ Aide as Assistant AG

In a statement issued Friday, the White House informed that President Donald Trump has nominated the top aide to Attorney General Jeff Sessions to serve as Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice’s Civil Division.

Joseph Hunt, now chief of staff and senior counselor to Sessions, previously led the division’s Federal Programs Branch handling various legal cases in federal district courts, Reuters reports, citing the White House.
