First Lady Melania And Son Barron Move into White House

First lady Melania and son Barron have moved into the White House, five months after President Donald Trump took office.

The first lady had stayed in Trump Tower from Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, until their 11-year-old son Barron finished the school year.

“Looking forward to the memories we’ll make in our new home!” the First Lady tweeted after moving in on Sunday night, three days before the President celebrates his 71st birthday.

The President, who had spent the weekend at his golf club in New Jersey, deplaned Air Force One with his wife and son on Sunday evening, according to the White House press pool.

It was reported last week that Melania and Barron would be joining Trump in the White House this week. Their move to Washington will ease the burden on the secret service and New York law enforcement officials, whose job was to ensure their safety in the Trump Tower penthouse.

Barron, who becomes the first boy to live in the White House since three-year-old John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1963, is to attend a private school in Maryland in autumn.

Melania Trump’s parents, Amalija and Victor Knavs, were with the family on Sunday evening and are a expected to become more familiar figures in Washington. The Knavs were living with Melania and Barron Trump in their Trump Tower penthouse in New York City.
