Blake Masters and Jim Lamon, who are vying for the chance to oust Sen. Mark Kelly in the Arizona primary, traded jabs as each claimed to be the America First candidate, Fox News informed.

The campaign is especially important since Republicans believe Kelly is weak and want to take control of the Senate after the midterm elections in November.

Both candidates used the general election, that Cook Political Report rates as a toss-up, and the primary to showcase their MAGA credentials.

Lamon boasted his America First credentials to Fox News by saying that he has produced lots of jobs in the US, thousands of them saying that he’s also hired veterans.

Masters cited the fact that former President Trump had endorsed him, which was prominently displayed in his campaign advertisements and on the back of his campaign van.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Masters said that President Donald Trump endorsed him because he knows he will be the greatest in terms of defending the country’s border.

The former president and the protégé of Peter Thiel are expected to gather in Arizona on Saturday night.

And earlier this week, during a debate, Masters claimed that after meeting Lamon, Trump believed he was a “bozo.”

Lamon, a former energy executive, asserted that at the time of Trump’s endorsement, he was unaware of the allegations made against Masters.

According to Jewish Insider, Masters promoted unrestricted immigration in blog entries written in 2005 and posted under a false name.

The newspaper was informed by one unnamed source that Masters, who would have been around 19 at the time, was the author.

Although Masters said the pseudonym was actually the same with his middle school screen name, he told Fox News he couldn’t recall authoring the posts.
