Saudi Arabia’s state food procurement agency SAGO has announced a tender for the import of 360,000 tonnes of random wheat, Saudi media reported.
According to the terms of the tender, the delivery to the grain importer should be made in November of this year to the ports of Jida (2 parties), Yanbu (2 parties), and Dammam (2 parties).
The closing of the tender is scheduled for September 10.
Since the beginning of this year, Saudi Arabia has purchased 1.7 million tons of wheat contracted for the external market in addition to 550 thousand tons of grain purchased on the domestic market.
Last month SAGO purchased 505 thousand tons of wheat at a tender.
