Biden Still Considering Whether Federal Workers Should be Required to Get Vaccines

US President Biden said on Tuesday that his administration is still thinking if it is necessary to require federal workers to get vaccines for Covid-19, amid the new surge in cases related to the delta variant, CNBC informed.

Biden spoke to reporters and when asked if he is thinking of imposing a mandatory vaccination for all government staff, he said that the matter is still under consideration.

Biden’s comments arrive at a time when the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) decided to reverse the guidelines on wearing face coverings indoors.

The administration had previously did not encouraged the federal agencies to require vaccination for the on-site workers.

However, the Veterans Affairs Department revealed on Monday that it would order the healthcare workers to get vaccinated, which makes it the first agency on the federal level to order such a thing.
