Pelosi Selects GOP Adam Kinzinger to Serve in the January 6 Committee

Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker revealed on Sunday that she picked Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger from Illinois, to be part of the January 6 select panel after she rejected 2 close allies to former President Donald Trump, Fox News informed.

The office of Pelosi issued a press release to officiate the announcement after she revealed on the ABC’s This Week picking Kinzinger was her plan.

Pelosi said that the Republican Congressman and an Air Force veteran, as well as Air National Guard’s Lieutenant Colonel, is to serve this panel because he will bring patriotism in the mission of the panel which is to discover the facts of what happened in the surge of the Capitol and protect the US Democracy.

Kinzinger voted to impeach Donald Trump after the January 6 insurgence in the Capitol.

He is the second Republican Representative to be picked to serve on the panel.

Republican Representative Liz Cheney from Wyoming was also picked to serve in this committee earlier this month and she also gave support in the Trump’s impeachment motion.
