Republican Resolution Supports DHS and Federal Agencies amid Democratic Calls for their Defunding

Republican Representative Lisa McClain and a group of 40 Republican Lawmakers are set to unveil a resolution to support the DHS (Department of Homeland Security) and other federal agencies of law enforcement amid a call out from progressive Democrats for their defunding, Fox News informed.

The resolution covers all the daily tasks and accomplishments of these agencies and mentions the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection) which are the main targets of the Democrats.

This resolution affirms that any effort made towards defunding the DHS, CBP, and ICE would be detrimental to US national security and these kinds of efforts should be overlooked by Congress.

Co-sponsors of the McClain resolution are Representatives Elise Stefanik from New York, Jim Banks from Indiana, Madison Cawthorn from North Carolina, and Marjorie Taylor Green from Georgia.
