Biden Condemns Assassination of President of Haiti Moise, Says US Open to Provide Aid

US President Joe Biden condemned on Wednesday the assassination of Jovenel Moise, the President of Haiti, who was shot in his private residence over the night by attackers, CNBC informed.

Biden said that the US has offered condolences to Haitian people and that the country is open to any kind of assistance in the process of making Haiti safe and secure.

Claude Joseph, Haiti’s interim primer minister, has confirmed the assassination saying that the police and the military were controlling the security situation in the country.

Joseph also said that the first lady Martine Moise, was injured and that she is being treated for her injuries in a hospital.

Jen Psaki, the White House press secretary said that the US is in constant communication with the Haitian government and is ready to provide help if it is requested.
