US Military Forces Withdraw from Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan

The entire capacity of US forces has been withdrawn from the Bagram Airfield, the biggest military base in Afghanistan, Fox News informed, citing a senior US official.

Located north of Kabul, Bagram Air Base, was the key to US operation in the Asian country for about 20 years after the September 11, attack by Al Qaeda, a terrorist organization based in this country.

US officials revealed last week that US has packed up more than 50% of the 30-square-mile base.

The troops from Europe had withdrawn several months before US departure from what was a crucial place in the war against terrorism.
