White House Cuts Would Mean Reduction of Troop Numbers, despite that 2020 Was their Busiest Year

The budget cuts introduced by the White House are set to decrease the number of troops for the fiscal year 2022, although according to a Top General, The National Guard has deployed higher number of troops in 2020 than any period of time since World War II, Fox News informed.

General Danial Hokanson spoke to reporters during a press event on Wednesday, saying that some of the states had a very high increase in the operational tempo, and that is why they requested for additional force structure.

Hokanson said that those decisions were made at the level of the Secretary of the army and the Secretary of the Air Force.

He added that, like all other organizations, they would also like to mark growth if it is possible.
