Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker considered progressive Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to be part of the new House committee she established, Fox News informed.
The newly formed Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth will address issues related to wealth inequality in the United States.
Pelosi on Thursday praised the Squad member’s commitment to address the generational disparities and increase the worker power.
The committee will be chaired by Rep. Jim Himes, and will be created to address the gap between US top CEOs and the worker pay.
