Protesters Called ‘Fire Fauci!’ in Front of Harlem Church during His Visit with Jill Biden

Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, NYC, railing against President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and demanding his firing due to his handling of the pandemic, including revelations made in a recently-released trove of emails, New York Post reports.

Demonstrators gathered chanting “Fire Fauci!”, “We are not lab rats” and other slogans decrying the coronavirus restrictions, during Fauci’s visit to the church, which also served as a vaccination site, together with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and First Lady Jill Biden on Sunday, who reportedly introduced him as “the man, the myth, the legend” to the founder of a local health program.

The visit was part of the messaging campaign to meet the White House goal of getting at least one shot into the arms of 70% of Americans by July 4 and the church was turned into a vaccination hub in a bid to encourage members of the black and Hispanic communities to get vaccinated.

Republicans called for Fauci’s resignation after thousands of pages of his emails – written in the early months of the outbreak – were released under Freedom of Information Act, revealing that Fauci took an active interest in the research, which involves lab experiments on pathogens to make them more deadly or contagious, while publicly downplaying speculations of lab origin of the virus.
