TRUMP PRESIDENTIAL APPROVAL: AVERAGE 46%
Same as yesterday

RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on four polls, ranging from 43% (Reuters) to 52% (Rasmussen). Without these extremes, it would be 45%. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 52% today (same as yesterday), which is 6 points higher than his approval rating.

South Carolina primary

Joe Biden: 31%/35%/36%= 34
Tom Steyer: 20%/17%/15% = 17.3
Bernie Sanders: 23%/13%/16% = 17.3
Elizabeth Warren: 8%/8%/8% = 8
Pete Buttigieg: 6%/8%/6% = 6.7
Amy Klobuchar: 2%/4%/4% = 3.3
Tulsi Gabbard: 2%/2%/1% = 1.7

RON’S COMMENT: Will Joe Biden be the Comeback Kid? According to these polls, he’s headed to a solid victory in South Carolina, his “firewall” state…. The ECU poll, taken after last week’s debate but before this week’s debate, has Biden ahead by 8 points. But…. The Clemson poll, taken before last week’s debate and before this week’s debate, has Biden ahead by 18 points…. The Monmouth poll, taken after last week’s debate but right before this week’s, shows Biden with a 20-point lead…. Clemson has Steyer second and Monmouth has Sanders only a point over Steyer. The primary is Saturday

RON’S COMMENT: Sanders well ahead in Virginia with a three-way traffic jam for second place. The primary is March 3 for 99 delegates.
 
Colorado primary

Elizabeth Warren: 20%/15% = 17.5
Pete Buttigieg: 14%/12% = 13
Michael Bloomberg: 14%/11% = 12.5
Joe Biden: 10%/11% = 10.5
Amy Klobuchar: 6%/6% = 6

RON’S COMMENT: Sanders has a clear lead in Colorado with Warren second. The primary is March 3 for 67 delegates.
 
Washington primary
Bernie Sanders: 21%
Michael Bloomberg: 15%
Amy Klobuchar: 11%
Elizabeth Warren: 11%
Joe Biden: 10%
Pete Buttigieg: 9%

RON’S COMMENT: Sanders leads in Washington state with Bloomberg second. But, this poll was taken before last week’s debate. The primary is March 10 for 89 delegates.
 
Florida primary
Joe Biden: 34%
Michael Bloomberg: 25%
Bernie Sanders: 13%
Pete Buttigieg: 8%
Elizabeth Warren: 5%
Amy Klobuchar: 4%

RON’S COMMENT: This poll is good news for Biden and pretty good news for Bloomberg. Not so good for anybody else. The Florida primary is March 17 for 219 delegates.

CORONAVIRUS

RON’S COMMENT: More women are very concerned than men (26% vs. 16%). More Democrats (24%) and independents (22%) than Republicans (17%) are very concerned.

RON’S COMMENT: 36% of Democrats, 45% of independents and 60% of Republicans say government should not allow people who have recently been in China to enter the U.S.
