Two Injured, Fans Flee in Panic as Shooting Erupts at High School Football in Pleasantville, New Jersey

At least two people were shot during a high school football game in Pleasantville, New Jersey, sending fans and players fleeing for cover. The extent of the injuries is unclear.

Several shots were fired into the audience at the match at Pleasantville High School on Friday, striking at least one young boy sitting in the stands, local officials have confirmed.

The boy was rushed to the hospital by an emergency crew, but his condition is still not known.

A second person was also reportedly hit in the gunfire and brought off the field in an ambulance.

A reporter with a local newspaper present at the game said the shots were fired from the Pleasantville bleachers, but there is currently no indication police have identified a suspect or made any arrests.
