RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on six polls, ranging from 38% (Quinnipiac) to 43% (Rasmussen, The Economist, Emerson). The other two polls average 41%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 54% today (same as Friday), which is 12 points higher than his approval rating.

RON’S COMMENT: Trump does best on saying what he believes and strong leadership. Only a third of the electorate say they like him––including 7% of Democrats, 25% of independents and 67% of Republicans. Also, 13% of Republicans say they dislike Trump and another 17% say they neither like nor dislike him.

RON’S COMMENT: While confidence in the US military remains high, the FBI, CIA and Foreign Service fail to elicit confidence from even 40% of the nation. There is a partisan divide: 55% of Democrats have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the CIA compared to 34% of Republicans. 52% of Democrats have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the FBI compared to 36% of Republicans.

MULVANEY JOB APPROVAL

Do you approve or disapprove of the way Mick Mulvaney is handling his job as White House Chief of Staff? 
 
Approve: 28%
Disapprove: 40%
 
RON’S COMMENT: 10% of Democrats approve of Mulvaney, compared to 47% of Republicans.
