RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on five polls, ranging from 40% (Politico) to 50% (Rasmussen). Without these extremes, it would be 42%…. President Trump’s disapproval rating averages 54% today (same as yesterday), which is 11 points higher than his approval rating.

RON’S COMMENT: This poll, taken mostly before the last debate, shows Warren first and Biden second. Since last week, it finds Warren and Biden remaining the same, Sanders down 1 point, Buttigieg up 2 points and Gabbard up 2 points.

TRUMP AND SYRIA

RON’S COMMENT: 9% of Democrats, 25% of independents and 69% of Republicans approve of Trump’s handling of Syria.
 
Do you approve or disapprove of Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from the area near the international border between Syria and Turkey which has had the effect of leaving Syrian Kurds who fought against ISIS vulnerable to attack from the Turkish military? 
 
Approve: 31%
Disapprove: 57%
 
RON’S COMMENT: 10% of Democrats, 27% of independents and 57% of Republicans approve of Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from the area near the international border between Syria and Turkey. Note that fewer Republicans approve of this action than approve of Trump’s overall handling of Syria (69% vs. 57%).
