Joe Biden Says Trump is Unfit for His Position

President Donald Trump is absolutely unsuitable for this position, says former Vice President Joe Biden in an OP-ED he wrote for The Washington Post.

Biden made this statement amid the scandal surrounding the request of Donald Trump to start an investigation into the activities in Ukraine of Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden.

“Enough is enough. Every day — every few hours, seemingly — more evidence is uncovered revealing that President Trump is abusing the power of the presidency and is wholly unfit to be president. He is using the highest office in the land to advance his personal political interests instead of the national interest,” Biden wrote.

The former vice president recalled one of the founding fathers of America and the first American president, for whom he said was unable to tell a lie.

“Our first president, George Washington, famously could not tell a lie. President Trump seemingly cannot tell the truth — about anything. He slanders anyone he sees as a threat. That is why is he is frantically pushing flat-out lies, debunked conspiracy theories and smears against me and my family, no doubt hoping to undermine my candidacy for the presidency,” stated Biden.

The next U.S. presidential election is scheduled for November 3, 2020.

As the current head of state, Donald Trump has the right to run for a second term; however, one of his strongest opponents is Joe Biden. According to RealClear Politics, Biden has the highest rating among politicians from the Democratic Party.

However, in recent weeks, Biden’s support level has been declining amid a scandal that erupted over a telephone conversation in July between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, in which an American leader asked his Ukrainian counterpart to begin an investigation into the activities in Ukraine of Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son.
