Melania’s ‘Be Best’ Turns One Year Next Week

Next week is the first year anniversary of the child-focused initiative of the First lady of the United States Melania Trump, ‘Be Best’ as it is known that she will hold a celebration at the White House, The Hill reports.

This is how she described the initiative:

“It remains our generation’s moral imperative to take responsibility and help our children manage the many issues they are facing today, including encouraging positive social, emotional, and physical habits.’’

According to President Donald Trump’s press office, the event will be held on Tuesday, and it will feature three guest speakers who are still unnamed and are known to represent one of the three pillars of her initiative and other guests who embody what ‘Be Best’ is all about.

The first lady issued a statement in which she said:

“I am looking forward to this celebration. Next week will not be only an opportunity to thank so many leaders and innovators for their contributors to making ‘Be Best’ a success, but a chance to come together as a community and set plans for expanding the initiative in the coming year as we work towards building a greater future for our children.’’

After the initiative was launched last year, Trump said that the campaign would have three areas of focus, and those were: well-being, opioid use, and social media.

When unveiling the initiative the First Lady said:

“Let us teach our children the difference between right and wrong, and encourage them to Be Best in their individual paths in life.”
