Warren Buffett Says He’d Support Bloomberg for President

The legendary investor Warren Buffet stated in an interview Monday stated that he would give his support to Michael Bloomberg if he decides to enter the presidential race in 2020, Fox News informed.

Bloomberg, who is a self-made billionaire, is worth about $57 billion. He has not yet made a decision neither has he commented on the possible run in the Democratic primaries, but there are reports that claim that he would spend almost $500 million in order to stop current president to win a second term.

Trump told Fox Business in October that Democrats would “eat him [Bloomberg] up” in the primaries, but Corey Lewandowski, the former Trimp associate, called Bloomberg a serious opponent to Trump.

Buffet told CNBC that if “Bloomberg announced tomorrow that he was a candidate, I would say I’m for him. I think he would be a very good president.”

He also stated that in the past he cast his vote for both parties, but claimed that Bloomberg is a serious candidate who knows how to “run things.”

“I think he’s got the right goals for America,” he said.

Bloomberg’s top two priorities appear to be gun control and climate change. Those policies may be a plus for the liberal part of the Democratic Party, but he is also considered by many people as a fiscal moderate. Politico also made a report that if Bloomberg entered the presidential race, his top issue would be climate change.
